Justin Bieber wanted to quit music...

After a paternity scandal last year.  It has to be really hard for these young stars, what they go through.  I don't blame him for wanting to be "normal".

Oh, N would have been heartbroken if he did.

My daughter would have been sad too.  We have tickets to his concert in October.   It would be nice to have enough money to retire at 18 though.

My dd and her friends would have been thrilled.  They can't stand him.

I could not agree more.

Seriously, I can take him or leave him.  My girls can't stand him at all.  I just feel like when a kid gets into this business so young, your parents are the ones that really have to make that decsion for you, so they really have to know what theya re putting you into.  You have to know that people are going to come out and ridicule you, and make up obscene stories like this.  I'm sorry that made him want to quit, but hopefully made him stronger.

Maybe if he were "normal" he would finally buy a belt.

 My thoughts exactly!

I obviously don't care for his music (a bit out of the demographic here LOL) but admit that every time I've seen him interviewed on TV he seems so grounded and nice. I saw him last night on Nightline and he again seemed so likeable as a kid. I saw him once doing a joint interview with Ashton Kucher on something they were doing together, and he was by FAR the more mature of the two. (Of course that's not saying much since Ashton has the maturity of a 12 year old). Ashton kept making an azz out of himself, and Justin acted as mature as any adult I've seen. He's obviously been raised well or has had some great coaching. So while I am not a music fan of his, I do wish him well and see no reason to dislike him.
