The best feelings in the world

Here are some of mine:

A hot shower after working out

Sitting down and taking your shoes off after walking all day long

Cool, clean sheets on a hot summer day

Waking up in the middle of the night thinking you have to get ups soon - only to discover you have several hours left to sleep

Getting an unexpected check in the mail

When your kids say "I love you, Mom!" out of the blue

The checkbook balancing...and there still being some left in it afterwards!!

The house being cleaned...as in every room....and just getting to SIT and ENJOY all you have worked for.

Christmas Eve...after the kids are in bed and Santa has come.  It is one of my most favorite nights to sit and reflect on all my blessings.

A bear hug by your spouse.  Even though I don't get those anymore...I remember them well enough to hold on to getting them again some day.  There is something about everything being right in the world when you are in the arms of the man you love.

Clean sheets, ahhhhh, I love it

Watching my kids eat (weird, I know, but I love we can provide them a safe, healthy life)

A good swim

A good laugh

A long walk with a friend

Seeing my parents with my children

Hugs from dd, with her chubby toddler arms

Hearing ds's excitement over learning something new

Feeling dh's pride in his family

Sitting up late at night after everyone has gone to bed, enjoying the quiet with my snoozing kitties, and thinking about how lucky I am

Changing into your pj's after being out all day.

Seeing your kid drift away into sleep

Putting a fancy meal on the dinner table

Back from a vacation and when you jump into your bed.

A cup of coffee when it is raining/snowing

Sharing a fresh peach with DD.

Cuddling in hubby's arms after a session of mid-afternoon love making.

Getting a phone call from a friend who calls to say she was just thinking of me.

Morphine (okay, I know this is weird but I have arthritis so I'm always in pain. I've had morphine once after my hysterectomy to control the surgical pain and I wanted to dance down the hospital hallways. The nurses were telling to be careful but I kept trying to explain to them how GREAT I felt.)

Taking a late night shower after a hot summer day then crawling into the clean sheets on the bed.

Waking up to find that it has snowed during the night - and you've got the day off and no plans anyway.

Raking up all the autumn leaves as a family, enjoying the sunset then jumping into the piles.

Peeking in my son's room at night and seeing him sleeping peacefully.

Flannel sheets on a cold winter's night.

Feeling full of salt water, sand and sunkissed after a day at the beach.

Having a purring kitty in my lap while a read a good book.

Watching the snow fall quietly at night and hearing how silent the world is at that moment.

Getting a pedicure.

Driving through the country on a warm summer's night with the moon roof open and a perfect song on the radio.

Taking a nap with the windows open while its raining.
