What is the one thing that you love about your kitchen - Page 2

We have a skylight in the upstairs bath, which is nice as it otherwise has no window. Plus, it is a cape cod house, so the bathroom has a very slanted ceiling. Without that skylight, we'd forever be bumping our heads on the ceiling.

We just had a large granite table made.  A friend of mine told me (several years ago) that that was her best "mommy advice" - buy a slab of granite to match your counters and have a table made.  I finally took her advice and I LOVE it.  (It is ridiculously heavy, so it will go with the house if/when we sell it.)  The kids can paint on it, color on it, play dough all over it, cut on it, etc. and I don't have to worry about it them scratching it or doing anything that will really hurt it. 

She told me I will love it even more once my kids are old enough to have projects they have to do.  I can believe that. 
 

I don't like much about my kitchen. We lease our house so I'm not able to do much changes. Maybe the one thing I like is that is open and light comes through a big window and the back glass door. 

It's size.  We bought a 1980's split and gutted it last spring.  I lost the dining room, but now the kitchen in large.  Plus the downstairs washer and dryer are a thing of the past.  The contractors brought them up, installed a line and now they are off to the side near the pantry.

We have skylights in the bathrooms, too.  I hardly ever have to turn on the light, and on some nights, the full moon lights everything up so beautifully.  Love to shower with no lights on on nights like those!
