Microwave gets a deep clean once a week when the cleaning lady cleans it.  I use covers on all my heat when heating in the microwave so I just have to wash the covers, but spills gets wiped/cleaned immediately.   I can't stand a dirty kitchen.   Our stove is built in counter top so does not need to be moved but when we were in our old house, I use to move the stove once a month to sweep and mop.

Totally depends on how much drama the kids create. The microwave and inside of fridge are two of my cleaning jobs I hand out when DD and her friends take the drama level to something I am over. The kids know, if you can't get along you clean. I even have a couple of my friends doing it when the girls are at their homes.

M'ija and Boy-o are the ones who use the nuke-o-matic all the time so I let them clean it.

I clean behind the ffridge and under the stove once or twice a year.

I feel so bad we didn't clean behind the oven more often, there is a gap behind the stove and the wall, I had never thought so much stuff could of fallen behind there. I never put anything on the back of the stove. I was just amazed.

We pulled out the stove and hubby scrubbed the sides of it when we moved into our place. We looked behind it, but neither of us could stomach cleaning that. Maybe in a few weeks.
