I've recruited a few neighbors/friends to shop at Aldi's

My neighbors now shop at Aldi's. They are amazed at how much they are saving, and how good the food is.

Have you ever run into someone that turns their nose up at Aldi's that now shops there?

I wouldn't say I've had people turn up their noses, it was more like they just weren't aware of what it was all about.  I've raved about it to a lot of people and several have told me later they are now shopping there.

I had a negative opinion of it before I went.  I'm not sure where it came from, but I also praise it to anyone who will listen.  I was telling all the members of my book club about the food I served--most of it from Aldi's.

They sold dd at the quarter in the shopping cart.

Several of my friends are not willing to shop at Aldi because of the checkout and clientele.  It is in a rather trashy part of town.

I would love it if they opened another store that was in better condition.

I agree. This was me. There were other stores closer. I didn't get a sale flier for their sales like I do other groceries so it just never even occurred to me. I'd forget about it. The few times I had stopped in there they didn't have as much stuff so I couldn't find everything I needed. I was leery of their produce at first.

I have started recently going there and shop every week or two at least now. They do have some great prices on some items we want. (I stay stocked up with their frozen salmon for instance) So now I go and buy whatever they have that I want, but I just realized that I have to supplement with other stores also since they do have a limited selection. For example we're eating only brown grains and they have a very limited selection of that. I have started buying their produce too, and except for the strawberries that seem to go bad quickly (I always serve them within a day) I've been happy with that too.
