Starting over saving in my change jar

For the last year I've been saving money in the change jar. I've put in money from consignment stores, pop can returns and rebates. I had over $200 saved up that we used in St Louis last week.

Now to start over for next summer.

That's great! I haven't opened my change jar in months, but I keep sticking random coins in there- you never know! smile.gif

Did you have a good time in St. Louis? that was always one of our very favorite places to go when my kids were younger.

I have started sticking dollar bills in mine too. Going to see how much I can save for our 10th anniversary in 15months. I want to go to Victoria for a long weekend if possible.

We emptied ours a month ago. DH and I each have our own and they are the kind that adds the coins up as you put them in. We are kind of competeing to see who can raise the most.

I am so tempted to count our change jar too but I want it to be a surprise. Recently I have been putting dollar bills in there too! We don't carry cash very often so it takes a little while to get our filled up, well that and the fact it is now in a 5 gallon water jug.....not sure if it will ever get filled!

Thanks for asking. Yes we had a blast. I think every child should have the joy of playing in the City Museum. The Arch was fun (we road the tram up). Loved 6 Flags. We lucked out because there was only one ride that we had to stand in line for. All the roller coasters we walked right on. The Zoo was fun, and we loved feeding the stingrays. Grant's Farm was a hit as well. Youngest dd was picked as a volunteer to be part of the elephant show. You should have seen her face being that close to an elephant which she loves.

On the way home we went through Mark Twain Cave which they enjoyed as well.
