Do you have a dedicated work space?

Do you have a dedicated office or work space in your home?

Our office is now in the bedroom, but before when I had my own room, I didn't use it - I just used the laptop.  I don't want my own work space, I want to be with my kids, even if it takes me longer to do stuff.

Dh works from home occasionally and he does have a work space.  It's in the basement, but he has set it up so that he can enjoy his music/Tv while working.  He's away from everyone so he is left alone.

I have 2 actually. I have my office/scrapbooking room. I don't get back there to scrapbook often though. I don't do any office stuff back there but all of my office supplies and files are back there. I also have a desk in the sala. It is in a corner but I can do what I need to do on the computer, pay bills, make schedules etc there and still be in the same room with my family.

We turned our dining room into an office- I have a corner and the kids computer is on the opposite wall. It's ideal b/c I homeschooled DS this year and we could both "work". There are no doors on the room, just 2 doorways, so I'm not completely cut off.

When I did direct sales I used our office to store everything in but I rarely sat down and actually worked in there. My DH now works from home and uses the office for his work space. It does become a 'catch all' sometimes though!

My husband works from home occasionally (hopefully less so, now that we live in the same state as his clients!) and the kids bother him all day long.  I think he secretly enjoys it, but I don't know how he gets anything done.
