as often as possible. It is hard though because even though I may be comfortable with the windows open in warmer weather my DH can't sleep in the heat so we have to run the AC.

I keep them open as much as possible in the spring and fall. In the summer, not so much because we have the air conditioner set and we keep it pretty cool inside, so we'd lose a lot of air conditioning out the windows. I'd probably open them more than we do if DH wasn't so keen on the air conditioning as soon as it's 75 degrees or so. Then it's on until winter

All the time.  We have a 'swamp cooler' and we have to have the windows open to get the cold air through.

We open ours more at the beginning of spring and fall.  In fall, there's tons of dust due to harvest, so we don't open them as much as we could. 

All the time! I close the one in our bedroom that faces the main road, because the noise bothers me at night. But we have one or two windows open in every room all the time because we live in southern california and we can. =)

Not very often.  My husband has allergies.

well as of late not often because it's been so darn hot. I have them open as long as the humidity is low and if it's cooler out. I do sometimes have to close them if ds's allergies are getting the best of him. I try to have them open as much as possible.
 

All the time, even in winter, I feel so stuffy and closed in if I can't have fresh air!

Evey day.   We love the fresh air.     Especially during the summer since we don't have central air (but have a window AC unit) we need to have the windows open to keep it cool in the house.

In the summer I open them at least every night, and during the day if the temps aren't too crazy. Spring and fall they are open almost 24/7. I have allergies, but I'm also allergic to the pets so that is a daily thing regardless. In the winter I'll open the windows for a few minutes a few times a week to get some fresh air in. The house just feels so stale without fresh cool air in it.
