The smaller ones were juicier.  I will keep a closer eye on them to pick sooner.  The big one was a bit dry. I am using them for muffins so it may not make a difference.  However, they do make moist muffins.

This is my first year growing zucchini.

Yeah, I think they'll be fine for muffins. My parents would always cook the smaller ones and then grate up the larger ones for muffins or a YUMMY zucchini bread my mom made. Tasted great!

The big ones do get tougher and drier, but you can still grate them up for zucchini bread!

You have to pick them small, even if you don't use them, or else they all get huge and take over.  My mom used to give the giant ones to her dog as a chew toy.

The big one was still juicy enough for muffins.  I grated it up and froze it.

Thanks for the advice.  Like I said, I will keep a closer eye on them.

How awesome!  you should let one get really huge and enter it in at the fair  LOL  just to see how big one can get.

I like mine roasted in the oven with butter and parm, and zuc bread and muffins...  :-)

Me too.  But for bread I guess it doesn't matter as it will be  grated.
