My epidural wore off right before I delivered!

But thankfully I was in good hands and they numbed me again! I was so pleased with our little hospital! They took much better care of me than our big city hospital did last time, Did your epidural wear off? Did they give your more meds?

I didn't have an epidural with either one. I didn't even get an IV until after I delivered....which seemed kind of pointless. So not even an aspirin with both deliveries

Although I must say, the thought of a needle stuck into my spine is far more frightening than labor pains

ETA: And congratulations! I didn't know you had the baby! Or am I totally numb and you're discussing a past delivery? lol

I also had all three without anything.  Second one I was giving a shot of demerol just as I was ready to push.  Didn't help at all (she came so quickly)--but, gee, was I feeling good an hour later!

Congrats!!!  Hope you are adjusting to the extra one around the house.

I never had an epidural or any pain meds either. I agree with Karen, the thought of having an epidural is much worse to me then labor.

My hat off to anyone who can do it without an epidural! LOL My middle one I did not have one and it was pretty much like torture LOL, this one however he weighed four pounds and 15 oz more and his head was pushing on me so bad I thought I was going to die! LOL

Oh and the needle in the spine? No biggie! They numb you and I don't think it hurts at all and thank goodness they hid the needle from you though LOL

No, I had both my kids in the hospital I had worked in and got excellent care!! Plus I loved my doctor. For the first one I was so out of it I was afraid I wasn't even going to wake up (but did of course LOL). But both of mine I had great epidurals that lasted. I'd like to see someone deliver a 10# baby without anything for pain.

Congrats to you! Was he early or why so small? That's so TEENY!!!

No pain meds the first time around but the second birth I did do an epidural, OMG it was heaven, wish I had one with DD. Of course the bliss only lasted for about 15 minutes before DS turned his delievery into an emergency c-section, so I suppose the epidural was completely useless.
