When you use a sheet of paper for a card

Do you go ahead and make as many cards as you can out of that paper, or do you just make the card you need and put the paper in your scrap box?

 

I was cleaning out my scrap box and oh my gosh, there are almost whole papers in there. I really need to get in the habit of using up almost all of the paper at one time, and then throwing the scraps away.

I tend to keep them in the scrap box. I really need to go through and use that paper though.

I put all my scraps in a box and look there first before I cut a new sheet.  scraps do add up, that's why sometimes I go crazy making cards using scraps only..lol

I tend to use what I need for the one card and then save the rest for the scrap pile, but I probably should start to try to use the scraps before getting a new sheet.

I don't make cards generally but I scrapbook. I have 2 scrap paper systems. For the larger sheets I have a drawer and always look there first when I need to mat or frame a picture. I have a filebox for the scraps too small to mat a picture. I keep those scraps in ROYGBIV file folders. I always go there for making tags, titles, letters, punches etc.

That is exactly what I do. Use what I need and put it away in my scraps file. Then I have almost whole pages in there. I've been trying to catch up on summer challenges and I think there's one about using up your scraps. I seriously need to just use up a whole sheet before using another one.
