Now is the time to scour those outdoor online sporting companies for close out coats and ski pants ect. You can generally find coats that would normally cost you over $125 new for $40 or less. So if you have never thought about it July is a good time to winter shop online!

It is harder to find the bigger sizes on clearance.  I need to find dd9 a size 12 jacket!  We are good on pants that I found last year.

if you need the coveted 10/12 sizes you really need to start in April I found that size range to be one of the first to go.

You're right.  Her size was basically never on sale.  It was gone!  I need waterproof.

Has anyone found any good deals on Columbia or North Face coats?   I'd like to buy a new one.   I'd probably buy a woman's XL.

both kids coats still fit and have room to grow a bit more in yet. all hats and mitts and scarves are fine. got DD next size up boots on clearance in april( the ones she has now still fit but she likes to out grow them mid-season).

DS will need new winter boots and we are waiting for his passport to come( should be sometime this month) then DH will take him to Buffalo for new winter boots and new sneakers too( its way too $$$$ here in canada for size 18 footwear...cheaper to drive the hour, pay for gas and a bit to cross at the border and pay duty on the way back then to go to toronto for them!!)
