Do you go to your county fair. I am sitting at ours now working at the booth for our school, I also have to work for cub scouts tomorrow. I think tonight I will take a look around. I think everyone in town spends time at the county fair!

All of the fairs around here are in the fall after harvest time. There's one that I love to go to. I have found most of the others are more focused on the rides, as opposed to the agricultural, craft, and animal exhibits that I prefer. And the food. Can't forget about that.

Yes, our county fair is a huge deal for our area. Lots of Agriculture stuff, lots of entries in various different catagories and food lots and lots of food!!!! We also have entertainment, Always a popular country singer for entertainment....This year is Justin Moore. and lots of other stuff and of course the midway but we only spend a small portion of time there (maybe one afternoon or evening) the rest we walk around checking out exhibits or volunteering somewhere.

When fair week comes around, we pretty much live there it seems, especially dh (he's on the fair board) and ds (he's on the jr. fair board). I might head out to ours tonight, maybe I will see you there Happymom.

Not now. I did when my kids were younger and my DD did 4H. I'm not a huge fair fan although I would go when my kids wanted to. It was fun to see the animals and eat a bit of junk food and see the 4H exhibits. But otherwise I'd rather do the state fair. More to see and do.

We go each year. THis year I got a sweet sweet deal. For $5 a person I got a voucher for free fair admission (which is $5 a person all by itself!), a ride wristband good for 4 hours and $10 in food tokens! Because DD gets reduced lunch at school she qualifies for a program at the boys and girls club called Mitch's Kids. Because she qualifies for that we also qualify for this. We usually spend $10 per kid for a wristband and $25 altogether for food. Plus admission. Instead of paying $75 I only had to cough up $25! We love the free family entertainment (pig races, wild animal shows etc) and looking at the 4H and business booth buildings.

We're not going this year. I haven't been very impressed with the last few fairs I went to, and it's so expensive, plus parking, plus rides. I wonder if the county fair where I grew up is actually better or if I just remember it being more fun as a kid.

Our's is in August and it is the social event of the year. Lol. My kids put our chickens in last year and have spent most of this year planning for this year's fair. We live down there.
