When they go to the pool do they hit you up for money to spend at the concession stand?

 

Are you allowed to bring in beverages or food?

Our neighborhood has a pool so it doesn't have a real concession stand.....just a machine or two. My kids might have taken a dollar or two, but since it was in our neighborhood, they'd just come home to eat or eat before they went. We are not allowed food or drink inside the pool area. There is a small seating area outside that people can eat/drink in. When they were small or we took friends I'd make a little snack/drink to take, but for the most part we never ate or drank there.

All the pools we go to are allowed food/drink.  I usually let them get a popsicle.  We don't get the other junk food.

We don't go to pools with concessions either.  I take snacks and water for them.

Luckily ds is to little to know about it. But, when he is older I will do what my mom did and that was to give us a dollar to spend on a snack if we wanted. We knew it was a dollar so we got what we could get. Of course back then that got you a little more than it does now.

We don't have any community pools. I bring snacks to the parks that the lakes are on though, as well as to the beach and amusement parks. When we go to the beach we always stop for seafood and ice-cream, it's just sort of tradition, and they know not to ask me for food from the smaller shops. As far as they're concerned Mommy's bag IS the concession stand lol
