Do you have a car that you hate to drive?

We have four cars, normally. My Subaru, RIP, our beater Honda (I wish it was RIP), our Tahoe (which I drive but it is so dang big) and my DH's project car, something like a 67 Impala, that doesn't have reverse. I hate, driving this car ... but with our recent car accident, I am attempting holding off insuring the Honda, hoping that I will get a new car on the road sooner than later. That leaves me with the Tahoe, which DH currently has, and the Impala, with no reverse, and I have to run an errand.

Dang, I hate driving this thing ... Wish me luck.

Just both of the 1940, the 1971, the 1970 and the 1977. They are soooo big, I can't back them up.

How hard is it to insure the Honda? You're no longer paying for insurance on the Subaru.

Well, I currently dislike driving my mini-van but that wasn't exactly what you meant. Mechanically it is fine, I just don't want to drive a mini-van. I thought we'd be replacing the thing by now (okay, give it to hubby to drive.) A replacement for me is in the future - just not as soon as I liked.

It's not difficult but the insurance always wants six-months in advance and then I have to drive it at least for a month before they will refund my money. If I am only going for a week, I can make it work ... Any longer, than I will end up paying.

Same here.  Our mini-van is nice and not too Maw-Mawish, but I am not a minivan person.  Before we had our old car painted, DH & I would fight over who would drive the "crappy-looking" car, because we both wanted to drive it rather than the van.

To be honest, I would not own a car I hated to drive. I am nervous about borrowing my friends Tahoe today because I have never driven an SUV before, but she is lending it to me since we have a car out of commission and I m so thankful.

I would rather not drive dh's heavy duty Chevy truck but I wouldn't say I hate it.  It is only a little bigger than my Suburban was but a lot harder to drive.  It has a cap on it and I can't see out the back.  At least I feel small while I'm driving it, I can barely see over the steering wheel and sit on a cushion.

The diesel fumes in the Jetta bother me but that is because it has over 250,000 miles on it.  It is a fun car to drive.

I hate hate hate driving DHs chevy cheyenne. Drivers side door is broke so you can't open it from teh inside. Drivers seatbelt doesn't work. Drivers seat doesn't flip forward for easy access to the back seat. DHs idiot uncle "fixed" all of those things. Passanger seat does not move forward or back but it does flip forward to get tot he back seat. Windshield wipers doen't start on their own. You have to turn them on then get out of the car to snap them into working. CD player works only when it wants to. He has over a dozen bumper stickers ont eh window which look stupid (he has Chicago Bears, Indpls Colts, NY Jets, Purdue, Chicago Blackhawks and Chicago White Sox. Talk abotu an identity crisis) It is loud. Check engine and brake lights stay on. Does not have power windows. It is always a mess. I hate it. Oh, and it is HUGE!

No. When I got my Honda Accord, DH liked it so well that he bought one 9 months later. He got the 2 door w/ sunroof, while I have the 4 door, so they look completely different, but the interiors are the same. We often comment on what a great idea that was as we each know exactly where everything is in the other car. No wondering where the wiper controls are, how the cruise works, etc.  It's automatic as they are the same. Although sometimes it would be convenient if one of us had a wagon or something for putting large items in back.

He used to have a stick shift when we first got married & I didn't care to drive that much.

I don't like driving dh's Saturn because it doesn't like me.  It always does weird things for me when I drive it that it never does for dh.  That car could go years without having a problem (because I go years without driving this car), but the moment I get behind the wheel it will act up and turn on it's check engine light.  It just knows when I'm driving it. lol
