Do you have a car that you hate to drive? - Page 2

My mom had a truck that was really difficult to shift and had no power steering. It was easy to steer if you were moving, but if I had to back out of somewhere, my sister and I would both be yanking on the wheel trying to get the truck to turn.

Mels, you really need to get your insurances re-quoted. I just looked it up and between 2007 and 2011 we paid - for three vehicles - between $110 and $85 a month for insurance (it went DOWN as time went on). While we didn't drive the pick-up truck (or heck even the sedan because hubby was never home), it was worthwhile to keep them insured. I can't imagine owning an operational car and not insuring it. Progressive would ask us to pay a month ahead (for instance, when we changed policies because of our move) and always gave us options if we wanted to pay 6 months, 3 months or even monthly. Even if I start out paying monthly, I can at any time decide to pay off the rest of the 6-month period. If I make a change to my policy, the rate change takes place immediately and I can see it all happen on their website. I know I keep harping on Progressive but I do believe we'd have paid even less if we had gone with Geico.

I think it is the esurance.com website that can give you a quick quote.
