If you won $1,000...... - Page 3

Assuming I can't use it on exsisting debt because otherwise it would all go to my CC

I would start shopping, Christmas is in 6 months. There are so many things that I could buy early.

And I would like to buy things for Me. $1000 would cover an annual gym membership with the daycare costs. New blinds and drapes. Or maybe new light fixtures. Have someone come and fix up my yard. Craft room storage, The materials for the book case in the living room.

I had $100 come my way yesterday. It is going on the Credit card.

Good point. I'd could by 20 $50 WalMart gift cards (which never go bad) then use them for gas which results in an automatic discount. That would be almost a half-year's worth of gas for one car.

WalMart sells gas?  Or are WalMart cards just good at Sam's Club? Either way, I had no idea

Yes, in some areas, WalMart sells gas. I think they go by the name "Murphy". WalMart gift cards are interchangeable at either Sam's Clubs or WalMarts. They never expire and they never have a finance charge.

I would stock up my pantry, we are getting kind of low, and buy back to school items for dd.

medical bills as I have seem to break my ankle requiring surgery while on vacation. :(

We have been thinking about getting kayaks.  I think we'd put it towards that.

We would put it towards a new tile floor in our den. We replaced the carpet in that room with laminate wood flooring almost 2 years ago but there was a crack in the foundation and the water quickly warped our new floor. Insurance wouldn't cover it because they don't cover foundation problems. We have since fixed the problem and are now living with the floor as it is but I would LOVE to replace it.

Unfortunately, I couldn't use it to splurge on something for myself or even for our house. It would have to go towards tuition--but it would be $1000 less we had to borrow.
