Do you have "spending money"? - Page 2

We pretty much spend as we want.  Dh's check pays all bills and the rest goes into savings.  His military retirement goes straight into our retirement funds.  My check is our disposible income.

We do not have spending $ per se.  We take out $20 each per week to have cash on us, but I rarely use it.  If I want something I buy it and put it on the Visa because it gets points for vacation.  If it is a large purchase dh and I talk about it (more than $100 or so) unless it is for ds or something we really need, I just buy it.  For treats I just use my judgement and put it on Visa.  Last week dh was in Israel all week and I treated myself to a professional pedicure, something I haven't done in more than 5 years!!  It was $48 including tip and I did not even think about running it past dh, though I did tell him how nice it was when he returned.  We both use our best judgement and trust each other.
