WOW!

I put an ad in Craigslist for babysitting. Yesterday I was contacted via email by a man named Derick who had 3 boys in need of care on the weekends. We emailed back and forth and I began getting a bad feelign that I may know the man because he was coming across controlling and demanding. Finally in the last email, he kept insisting I call him but I just couldn't yet, he told me his kids names. Jerimiah, THeophalis and Elijah. BINGO! I used to watch the 2 older boys when I did in home child care before. It was a mess. First off, he and his wife lied to me. In the end the boys were wards of the state, I had a caseworker and casa worker in my home and almost daily contact with and he treated me like crap. We had planned to move and did so without telling him we were leaving. The last time I had seen him he attempted to intimidate my 3 yr old and later threatened me and my family over the phone. He foudn out we moved when he showed up to drop his boys off. I left no forwarding phone number or address. Guy was psycho. As it turned out (casa had loose lips!) he was pimping his wife out to make money. She was in and out of jail for solicitation. Theo was taken (but apparently they got him back) when she left him in a car with a teen smoking pot while she went and turned a trick in a truckstop gas station! My name is not that common. I would have thought this man would have recognized my name. I am soooo glad my last name was not listed in the ad and that I never gave him my phone number. Also, even if he remembers my last name our info is unlisted because DH is a corrections officer. What are the odds of this man finding me again???? Still gonna be looking over my shoulder.

I sent the man an email letting him know that I was not interested in watching his boys. I was nice, polite and professional. He sent me a whopper of an email back. Told me exactly what he thought of me placing an ad and then choosing not to work with people who answer the ad! Whatever!!! So glad I figured out who he was before I met with him in person!

What a creep! I feel bad his kids are stuck with that loony, but I sure as hell wouldn't want him anywhere near my own. Hmmm if his wife is a "lady of the night" I'm sure her schedule is flexible enough for her to watch her own darn kids.

The weirdest thing before was the stupid diet restrictions. At 2 and a half poor Elijah was still on a primary diet of some organic you can only order online formula. Dad claimed he was allergic to beef, chicken, potatoes, rice, apples, peas, pasta, bread, wheat and so much more. I was concerned for this poor kid so when I met the caseworker I told her. She told me to feed him as I would my own and not tell dad. I had to email a copy of what I fed him to the caseworker every day. Kid never had any kind of reaction whatsoever! The boys were the sweetest little things too! Dad is a single dad now. I wouldn't be surprised if mom is locked up or even dead. How bad must your life be to turn tricks in a truckstop gas station??????
