One thing I am doing is making sure my husband is home (and in uniform) whenever I meet with someone. DH is going to be around on and off because of his schedule rotation so I feel parents should meet him. The only exception is the interview I was supposed to have today. The mom introduced herself to DH at work Fri night. She didn't show for her appointment today but I am not ticked. She just got off of 3 12 hour midnight shifts. She most likely is still sleeping. I know my dh is.

My heart goes out to the woman who was married to him. Imagine if he can be that much of a controlling and angry man via email to a person he does not know, how do you think he treated her? My first thought was that she was a victim of domestic abuse. I really hope she's not dead, but rather, free. In many domestic violence situations, the woman is threatened with the loss of her children if she tries to leave. Maybe that's what happened to her. I feel sorry for the kids, too.
Glad that you dodged that bullet! Your intuition was spot on!
