If you child was missing for 6 days and vanished would you?

If your child had gone missing for more than 6 days would you be making sure your hair and nails were done and full make up for tv????

2 girls went missing not far from me vanished and it just amazes me the mothers have full make up hair nails done everytime they are on tv and they are so calm cool and collected. This would be my worst nightmare and I would not give a rats arse if my hair was even done I would be a wreck about my kid.

What are your thoughts on this I find it strange?

We've been watching that on the news...It's always terrible when child goes missing. As for my hair and nails....if my baby (I don't care if they're 50, they're still my babies wink.gif ) went missing, I'd be a wreck...and after 6 days? I'd probably be medicated and in desperate need of a shower and a hairbrush...not all "done up" for the cameras.

What's wrong with these mothers? What's more important, looking for your beloved child or looking good for the camera?

yeah I agree, my hair and nails are the least of my problems if something happened to MY kids.......

I have been watching this on the news as well. I was more concerned over the fact that the one mom is never emotional on tv while pleading for her daughter's return. I have never seen a tear and I would be a sobbing mess.

I don't think the girls are in the lake they are draining. I think they were either kidnapped from the interstate, or a family member had a part in it. Or someone from their drug past had something to do with it.

And the Dad needs to stop complaining and whining to the media about the cops asking him questions. If I am innocent in my child's disappearance I will answer all the questions in the world so you can focus on whoever took my girl. And you know what they always look at family first, especially if you have charges on meth production and distribution and domestic assault pending.

Other things don't match up. One mom said oh they never go that far. A guy who was out watering is lawn told the police that he saw them that day, and he sees them quite a bit riding that far. Plus there is an issue with the  cell phone story. One mom said her daughter was to call and report in regularly, but when police tried to get a ping off the tower it came back as not activated. How do you expect your child to report in with a phone that's not activated.

For those who don't know what it going on last Friday a 10 year old girl and her 8 year old cousin vanished. Blood hounds confirmed they were on the trail near a lake where their bikes were found. One purse was found. This trail is close to the interstate so in theory some one could have snatched them and be across country now.

I have read a couple of interviews, no television channels, and thought they sounded kind of ... I don't know, off. Too calm, almost. But who knows how I would react. Though I rarely have my nails done now.

I cannot imagine, I would probably to distraught and I can see myself even having trouble getting out of bed.

at the most maybe a shower and brush hair but yea I would not have time for makeup and nails. I think I know what story you are talking about but have not seen the mothers.

I wouldn't, but I don't do that anyway. For some women, if that's their routine, then maybe that is keeping them sane.  MIL gets her hair and nails done every week, come hell or high water, and probably come missing child.

The other stuff you've mentioned sounds way more suspicious to me than looking nice.

These are exactly my thoughts.
