My Winter Boho Wardrobe

I have decided I want a Boho style for winter. I like to be comfortable but I wanted to dress it up a bit. So I spent $35 dollars at thrift stores yesterday and this is what I have gotten so far. I think it really helped to have a list and some pics from Pinterest so I could keep myself focused on what I wanted.

And my best find of the day. The coat is a London Fog coat and I got it for $5, the only thing wrong is it is missing three buttons.

Great finds! I really love the coat.

I've been a little discouraged from shopping at the thrift stores in my area (south NJ) because the prices are the same as the local Walmart/Kmart. I kind of feel like, why should I even bother?

Very nice!  I wish I could put together things like that.

I have Pinterest to thank for putting stuff together! I have plenty of flare and boot cut jeans to go with these tops. I have black boots and only need brown boots. So I am trying to pick things that go with stuff I already have. I got lots of pics of Pinterest of outfits I liked then found pieces of similar styles.

I have to say I was shocked by the prices at our thrift stores. I remember finding shirts for $1 when I used to shop, now the average price is $5 dollars. Pants and dresses were between $7 and $9. Average price of kids clothes was $2. I did get Ds some nice pants and at $2, which was a good deal. I chose thrift stores because the type of styles I wanted could be duplicated easier there. Another surprise was the price of costume jewelry at thrift stores. I saw necklaces for $20, I am not sure how they decide their prices but I was a bit surprised.

What exactly is boho style? I do like your choices!!!

It seems to be a mix of retro styles (like bell bottoms, flare jeans), mixed with large sweaters, boots, maxi dresses.

This is one of my favorite outfits!

Me neither.  N is great at this.  She can go to a thrift store and come home with these great outfits she put together.

Misty, it seems you have a knack for this too!  I love them all.  You need to come and take me shopping.

What great finds!  I also get discouraged at our local thrift stores.  From time to time I find something great at a good price but often I have found that I can do better buying new items on the clearance sales.  I love your new wardrobe!  And in the picture showing the Boho style, I absolutely love those boots!
