Who plays tennis?

DH and I use to play about ten years ago but we got into the midst of having babies and pregnancy and since we played at night, when the babies should have been sleeping ... anyway, we stopped playing.

In the years since then, I thought about joining our local tennis league but they were all so good. Haha. Anyway, DD's PE teacher started a beginners class, just for four nights, and it has been so much fun. In fact my entire family is playing including my children, our boys and DH with his knee ... Though he is taking it, somewhat, slow.

I love tennis.

I love tennis too!  There is a municipal court by our house and we can play for free.  DH belongs in a league.  We used to play mixed doubles but DH took things too seriously.  :-)  Son, 14, will most likely play in high school this year.

I went to a small private high school / college prep. They were so small they didn't have much of an athletic program. Besides, they concentrated on academics. So we took P.E. only once a week and you got to chose either volleyball or tennis. I hate volleyball. I've got lots of power in tennis which always seemed to get me in trouble because I also tend to be rather competitive. I don't play "lady-like" at all. Now they have all those great HUGE ultra-light rackets with those gigantic sweet spots and I go a little crazy. DD wants to drag me out on the court sometimes but I have to remind myself to really tone it down with her.

Kinda of grew up playing tennis, nothing serious, but my parents played and was always on the court playing with my sister.  Then played with my hubby for "fun".  Haven't played in about 6 years, but just recently joined my neighborhood league, and have been practicing all summer, I can hold my own and having TONS of fun!  Looking forward to the fall when we start playing in matches!
