I will have to look into it. I am calling the nursery tomorrow. Thanks, I will ask about these.

We planted these in our front yard adjacent to the road. We picked them up at Lowes 5' tall for about $30/each. You can buy them at smaller sizes for less. I absolutely love them. They've fattened up quickly and block a lot of sight and have probably gotten a foot taller in the 2 years they've been in. The amount of noise they block is also pretty surprising, they've deafened cars going up the road quite a bit so that was a pleasant addition. They seem to be very tolerant of weather conditions and don't show any signs of damage with the crazy snow falls of the previous winter or the heat problems of this year.

We are a 1980's neighborhood, no HOA, and we are allowed to keep chickens.  Our houses aren't on top of each other, but we are a typical suburban street - I call it Urban-Suburban because our last house was more Country-Suburban where I could understand chickens more. Anyway, the neighbors across the way and down 4 houses have chickens.  Every time a rooster is born, she waits until he is a little older and then sells him.  Frankly, waking up to a rooster in the suburbs drives me crazy!  I am so thankful when she sells those things.
