Does your dh/so buy anything you consider a waste?

Dh just came home with $22 worth of fireworks.  I wish I had $22 more to spend on grocery shopping.  I just think that is such a waste, had to come here to vent!!

He's been buying Kindle books, rather than bothering with the library. It bothers me a lot less now that I stopped putting my gift cards into my Amazon account. He was using them all up!

Probably food would be the only thing I can think of. He loves to keep everyone happy so will buy things people will like even if we don't need them and regardless of the cost. He's not one to buy boy toys though, so I can't complain too much.

We have both been cutting back on things we don't need, but just recently Dh bought a book that I know he won't even read.  Can't understand why he doesn't just go to the library.

Ok good It's not just me that gets irritated.

Not really.

We both get an allowance to use for personal things. Like he uses his for car parts, motorcycle stuff and any stuff that he collects. In fact, I have been getting on to him for using his allowance for gas for the cars. That should come out of the household budget.

Not really. He's having a more difficult time than I am about kicking the fast food habit (he stops at dunkins almost every single morning) but until I can stop going frequently as well I'm really in no position to get upset at him.

Just because he buys something for himself that I wouldn't buy for myself doesn't make it a waste.

Hubby is so anxious to come home, he rarely stops to buy anything. He is anxious to re-stock his tools and we need tools but frankly he can't organize the ones he already owns so I'm not as anxious to buy more as he is. Right now my battle is getting him to stay on list. He'll see a tool whether he needs it or not - whether he'll use it soon or not - and he wants to buy it right NOW. I remind him that we really, really need to buy a few other things first.
