How has everyone been doing? I know its harder when the kiddos are home...

Summer is easy for me (kids are grown and not an issue) because the weather is so much nicer.  I don't like to exercise outside in the winter.  Love being outdoors!

My kids are too young for school so summer doesn't make a difference for me, they are here all day every day.  I am having a hard time getting exercise in, DH works 3 nights a week in addition to his 8-4:30 day job.  I keep saying I am going to take the kids for a walk, but I just don't like doing it by myself.  They end up not wanting to sit still long enough for a decent walk.

Try doing something while they are eating, playing, watching tv, etc. Whip out some jumping jacks or jog in place. Turn on the music and dance with your kids.

We have a very steep hill in our backyard. I've been heading outside when I get home and running up and down that until I feel like my lungs are on fire and then stop while the kids show me up and continue racing around.

I don't have kids so I can't use that excuse but I sure would love to have a reason why I haven't gotten my butt into gear!!! I'm just not motivated for some reason and I don't understand it. I hurt my foot and wasn't allowed to do anything but stay off my feet for 2 1/2 months and of course I gained weight. Even though I am not happy with my weight I STILL cannot find the motivation to get off my butt and stop eating everything in sight!!

I have been having a good summer and feeling ready to take on the school year.  I was super inspired when I did the 1200 minutes in June and just completed my 1000 minutes in July (gave myself a break for going out of town twice). I have myself on a workout schedule that will also be realistic when school starts, so I'm optimistic I can keep this going. I would like to work up to 1600 minutes/month. The key has been getting used to getting up and working out at 6 am so it's easy to do when school starts and keeping dd in quiet time in her room even if she doesn't want to nap (I let ds play games on my nook).

MWF: early morning 30 min walk and arm work, quiet time 1 hour bike ride

TTh: quiet time 50-60 min walk and arm work

Weekend: long outside walk, swim 45-60 min

I bought a Walk Away the Pounds dvd with longer walks (I've used the shorter ones in the past), so I'm not always tied to the treadmill and I love using the resistance band. The 3 and 4 mile walks are actually pretty good.

Long story short, its been here and there. Sigh.

Bad! I literally stopped - I have 11 more to lose, but waiting for DD to go to school.  I want to exercise, but physically cannot, so tired.  :(

And, I am eating every thing in sight for I tell myself that I am going to exercise in 12 more days.  Not good, not good.

I'm doing well. I became a Beachbody coach and am leading some challenge groups, so I kind of have to keep my butt in gear! ;-)

July wasn't good for me in terms of exercise.....only went to Jazzercise a handful of times.

Here's to hoping August goes much better!  My sister is getting married in November, so time's ticking away......hope that motivates me even more!!
