Besides the clean-up

what is the worst thing, you dislike about cooking?

Trying to find something to please everyone.  Also, the timing.  After work, I like to exercise, but I usually have someone looking to eat.  So I have to find dinners that are quick to make on those nights or pull something out of the freezer.

The time it takes. Especially when I have a ton of other things I need to get done and someone needs help with their homework, but I need to stand by the stove.

For me sometimes it is just deciding what to make!  I should really start to plan ahead again, when I planned it out and got the ingredients ahead of time it was so much easier.  Right now I am in a rut because I just don't know what to make.

Same here.  I hate having to try to figure out what to cook that everyone will eat.  Also, I have to adjust alot of recipes to accommodate DH's dietary needs (eg. if we have spaghetti, I have to fix a separate alfredo or white sauce for him).

deciding what to cook, and thawing meat.

I hate thawing meat - or just about anything. I love the George Foreman grill just for that reason - I can slap on a hunk o'meat without thawing it. Also, my microwave has a pretty nifty sensor-thaw button which is a feature I'll never be without again.

I also can't stand having to decide what to make. What I want to eat (or can eat) is much different from what hubby and DD want. I tend to cook for them then catch-as-catch-can for myself. Theme night helps a lot. At least it gives me a starting point.

Deciding what to make and finding the time to make it.
