What's for breakfast? Typical morning at your house. - Page 2

I am not a fan of cold cereal (from a nutritional point, I do think it's tasty), I do not eat it at all and dh will eat granola at night for dessert. My kids do eat regular cheerios, cream of wheat or oatmeal, but always with some kind of protein (either scrambled egg or turkey sausage) and fruit.

I am terrible about eating breakfast on busy mornings and often do not eat anything until after 12.  I actually made some mini vegetable frittatas in a muffin pan today that I can freeze and warm up one at a time to eat in the morning. It's still small, but it's something, and one of my goals this coming school year is to get some kind of protein into me before I run out the door every morning and not just rely on coffee until lunchtime.

I eat eggs almost every day. I usually do an egg on a 100 calorie wg muffin. I switched to green tea plain and am off coffee.

Dh and dd9 have homemade zucchini muffins. Dd6 has cereal.

It really depends on how much time we have, what time we get up etc.  usually if there is time and we are not rushing around like loons we have a decent breakfast - eggs, toast, juice - but there are quite a few mornings where the kids are eating cold cereal or a bagel or just a piece of fruit cause we are running out the door.
