Do you have a cheap friend or acquaintance?

I used to work with a lady who was cheap. One time she brought in cupcakes from the Hostess outlet store that had expired the week before. The bottoms of the cupcakes were moldy. She couldn't understand why we didn't just cut the mold off and eat the rest.

GAG!

I wouldn't even do that at home, sorry.

I am sure if I wracked my brain I could find someone in there that did something like that, but apart from my grandma keeping things years past the experiation date.... and my mother for that fact, she tried to give dd jello that was 5 years old.

gag again LOL

Good way to put it!!! I'm the same, I wouldn't risk an infection/stomach bug to save $1.00.

I had a friend at work tell me his friend bought pork chops from some discount store like the Dollar Store and was bragging about how awesome the deal ways. Both my friend and his girlfriend had HORRIBLE sickness from it! YUCK!

Not really.  Most of my friends either have much more disposable income than we do, or are doing OK by strict watching, like we are.

Not so much recently but years ago my boyfriend and I used to hang out constantly with another couple. Whenever we would go out to a bar, my boyfriend would buy a round of drinks. Whenever the glasses would get empty and it was obviously time for another round, our guy friend would leave to use the bathroom.  In the years that we all hung out together I don't think the other guy ever bought a round of drinks.

I have and aunt that can be cheap at times.  One time she and my uncle forgot their tooth brushes when traveling, so instead of buying one for each of them they bought one and shared it on the trip, I thought that was gross!

I've known people who were down-right cheap. I've not called any of them my friend.

I think that I am careful about how I spend my money but not cheap.  I have never had any friends who I would consider cheap.  Actually just the opposite.  I have a lot of friends who I feel spend more than they should.  I did date a guy once who was very cheap.  After the third date, that was it.  There was no way I was going to put up with a lifetime of that.
