Recharegable Batteries - Do you use them?

I've never tried rechargeable batteries in the AA, AAA form.

What's your thoughts?  Are they worth it?

we have rechargeable batteries in the remotes for the tv and stereo, digital camera and DD's ipod( she bought it herself).

we just plug them in overnight and they are good to go in the morning when we need them.

yes the eare a bit $$$ ( here in canada anyway) but it saves buying disposable ones and putting them in the garbage. and we have a store here that once your rechargables have finally bit the dust will take them to dispose of them properly and give you a $5 voucher off the price of new ones too.

We use them all the time. As often as we change batteries in the Xbox and wii controllers we would go broke changing batteries!

After trying to maintain a selection of rechargeable batteries, I finally got down to just using the AA wall charger. That is the majority of the batteries we use anyway and it is so nice to have charged batteries on-hand instead of running to the store.

We have a charger and some AA batteries. DH bought it years ago. I honestly forget to use it most of the time and just replace batteries with non-rechargables. I think 2 of the batteries may have been thrown out because they were "dead", I'm trying to think what they might be in but I have no idea. I've got a pretty good supply of free AA and AAA batteries. It's the D's in the flashlights and game cameras that are killing me. Do they make rechargables in that size?

Thanks for the info!  I think I'm going to wait for a coupon and then try some.  We use AA and AAA all the time in things here and there.  Definitely worth a try!  Thanks!

And Karen - I've never seen a rechargeable D battery....but then again, I haven't looked too close.  Those would be nice!
