When you read a book do you ever picture it in your head playing out like a movie?

All the time. My mind is good at multitasking so it is absorbing and reading while instantly putting it into a visual in my imagination.

The Left Behind series had such a powerful hold on my mind when I read them. I was there. I was part of their world. What was happening to them was happening to me.

I thought everyone did! However one day I was talking to DD about some of her spelling words and to give her a hint I said, "Well does that look like what you see in your head?" She looked at me and said, "Huh?" She NEVER visualizes words or stories. She just isn't visual that way. She's auditory. Stories go on in her ear all the time, even when she is reading silently but there is no "movie". She now practices her spelling words by singing them.
