Pictures of my update (new) kitchen

We pulled off the wallpaper on the paneling. We paint the top a light green and the bottom a gren/gray color. My new counter tops are on order and they are gray, green, a little black in them. Also, the mediallion on the table is painted green and when it dries, it will go up around the ceiling fan. But I couldn't wait to show off my new kitchen. WARNING, if you don't think I didn't declutter, you might have a heart-attack when you see the pictures.

Great job. It looks much less busy which I really like. The paler colors do brighten it up as musicalmommy said.

I do have a lot but since everyone knows that I am a longaberger snob, that is what I always get for my birthday and christmas from family and friends. Plus I have a close friend that sell them, so I get them at her cost.

Very nice - the lighter color really brightens up the room & lets your other decorative elements show more.

One thing I would consider if you have an option - you have 2 white melamine bookcases on either side of your vintage white cabinet w/ the enamel top. That vintage piece is fabulous - I've always loved those - but it is closed off with those bookcases crammed in on either side. It looks like the bookcases hold cookbooks, crockpot, etc. Is there any way to put those somewhere else? An office, pantry, or basement? I moved all my cookbooks to my office which really opened some room up in the kitchen (keeping my favorite in the kitchen) - as they are not needed there every day. Anyway, just a thought to show off that cabinet a bit more, as that is my favorite thing in your kitchen.
