T-Shell's Slow Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup!  Looked so good when I put it together this morning.

Leftovers

Diane has inspired me to make tortilla soup tonight! I have a bunch of leftover chicken from dinner the other night and it sounds good right now.

I like this CP recipe and I also add black beans, homemade chicken stock instead of broth and water, and use a can of diced tomatoes with chiles instead of the separate cans. I have a tube of soyrizo that needs to be used so I might add that too, it has a nice flavor. http://allrecipes.com/recipe/slow-cooker-chicken-tortilla-soup/

Seve with baked tortilla strips, avocado, sour cream, shredded cheese, chives, and tapatio for some extra kick.

T-Shell's recipe turned out so good!  Delicious.  I love that I could make it ahead of time and just turn on the slow-cooker.  Your recipe sounds very similar and would be perfect when I didn't plan it or had no one home to turn on the slow cooker after I left for work.
