Fend for yourself!

Yesterday was Italian night, which should be simple right? Well, DD complained about everything I suggested above plain spaghetti. When hubby came home he walks into the kitchen and says, "Oh pancakes?" He was just joking but I about lost it.

Both he and DD have been putting so many restrictions on what I can prepare: no lettuce, no peas, no cooked carrots (raw are okay), no squashes, no mushrooms, no onion, no garlic, no peppers (green bell, orange, etc), no corn, no potatoes other than mashed, no sweet potatoes, no rice other than white, oh and hubby doesn't like cauliflower either. If I serve green beans, DD sits there, breaks them open and eats the seeds inside but not the "bean" part. DD is allergic to cucumbers. I'm sick of broccoli! No beef other than ground but no meatloaf. No cheese (although they'll eat it on pizza). Nothing spicy. No beans mid-week because hubby doesn't want to be gassy at work the next day. No fish (which I love). I'm allergic to shrimp, DD loves it. Hubby loves pancakes and would eat them every night (doused in HFCS in the form of fake maple syrup, of course) but DD hates pancakes. Plus, I have to work around my gluten-free diet, too. A simple "spaghetti dinner" means I'm cooking two different kinds of pasta - theirs and my GF kind.

Tonight was supposed to be Mexican night but I'm the only one who really loves Mexican food (hubby eats it when he is travelling but doesn't want me to serve it at home - huh?) So I told them I've had it. They can fend for themselves.

I know what you mean, I don't mind cooking but I get tired of trying to fix something everyone likes.

Tonight is meatball pitas.  The girls will just eat cheese in theirs.

Which is why I cook one meal and one meal only. Either you eat it or you don't eat until the next meal.

Tonight I made BLT wraps and doritos.
