s/o Juice or no juice

I feel like it was a natural part of the toddler progression to go from milk to juice cup.. I bought all those cute little sippy cups.  I hate to think how much I wasted on cups.

I no longer buy "kids" juice or juice boxes for the girls.  They drink water, milk and sometimes OJ.  I make homemade chocolate syrup for my oldest dd as a treat.

Mine have juice when I buy it. I always had it when the were little.

I never gave mine juice when they were little. They went from breast milk to regular milk or water. Two reasons: 1. Water is better for them. 2. Water is free. My kids drink water all day long and I'm glad I started that when they were little. I saw too many kids drinking too much juice. Plus, buying all that juice is expensive, I'm cheap.

I just started buying OJ b/c I like it in my Shakeology, so they get it a couple times a week now mixed in their smoothie.

For day-to-day beverages they went from a bottle to a sippy cup of water or milk. Then to a regular cup of water or milk (Preferably water because it was easier for me when they would inevitably dump it on themselves lol) I've never kept much juice in the house unless people were sick. Most juice isn't really juice anyway, a lot of parents probably would have been better off just handing their kid a red bull.

We rarely drink juice. I'm not anti juice, we're just so out of the habit of drinking it, I forget to buy it and when I do, we forget to drink it and it goes bad (or juice boxes sit in my pantry untouched for months).  I will buy 100% grape or berry juice to make popsicles in hot weather sometimes and it always ends up going bad in the back of the fridge.

My kids (6 and 2.5) drink water and a couple glasses of milk a day, they occasionally ask for "bubble water", which is just the sparkling water dh and I drink (not soda). They get plenty of fruit sugar, they each have at least 3-4 servings of fresh fruit every day.

I don't think it's necessary and personally believe many kids drink way too much juice. I would rather save the money on juice and eat whole fruits instead.

M doesn't like juice.  Baby boy has some occasionally. They both used to drink a lot of apple juice, but Maggie is just too picky now (she will only drink water) and baby boy will drink whatever I give him.

My kids have always done juice but it was always diluted with water. I would say 75% water when under 1 and then graduated to a a 50% 50% mixture. Dd 7 now drinks about 75% juice water mixture.

baby dd loves apple juice.  that is what she drinks....

mini wasn't that interested in it.

eldest drinks a variety of hot and cold teas, with a bit off odd juices, like mango and pineapple and weird pomengranate....  ack

I gave M'ija whole milk and undiluted 100% fruit juice. Neither ever caused her a problem.

She's grown now and still drinks both.

I don't drink milk, but I love fruit juice.

my little guys went from bb to milk and then apple juice/oj - somewhat diluted. I hate milk so I usually make lemonade here all day, iced tea, juices and water.  We don't drink soda regularly.
