Do you find your store prices differ from the "match-ups"?

Does anyone else find that the prices at your local store are always different from the coupon match-ups?  I am tired of printing out coupons for supposed freebies, or great deals, only to find that my stores' prices are much higher!  This was happening before I moved to California, so I can't blame it on that.  It's very annoying.

I check the matchups and then verify it against my local ad to be sure that the sale is the same. I work an hour away from home at the seacoast, and the ads there vs near my home are always vastly different, the seacoast is generally more affluent and takes advantage of Maine and Mass which are both within 30 minutes so we get the tax free drivers as well so the stores there are almost always higher priced across the board.

my main problem is Target.  I guess I get the paper now, so I can check the ad.  That's smart - I should have thought of that.  A lot of times the deals I find are unadvertised, thouh.

It used to happen with me with Walgreen and then I realized the websites doing the matching were in a different part of the country.  I do check my ad now before running to the store.

Walmart is my biggest one.....and a lot of those prices aren't in the ads.  It's usually still a good deal, but not a freebie.

My stores always tend to be higher and alot of time I can't get items free.  I do find other deals that I never hear people talk about.  I just look for high value coupons and shop the store.  Seems to work out sometimes ;)
