What time to they have to meet the bus or leave for the carpool? - Page 2

Right now it works for me to drive them in the mornings. Their bus comes by at 7:45am. We leave at 8:30 and drop oldest off at 8:40, then youngest at 8:50.

I used to always pick them up from school, but then realized that the bus could get them home before I could (fighting the school traffic is crazy). So now they ride the bus home. Oldest gets out of school at 3:35 and the bus takes her to little's school where little gets on and they get home at 3:55pm. When I picked them up, I never got home before 4.

I think it will still be around 7:20. I will have to see after I get them registered on Monday.

Ds goes to a private school with no bus service, but we are really close to school.  He likes to get there early, so we leave at 7:25 - 7:30 am and get there around 7:40-7:45 am.  School starts at 8:00 am and goes to 3:15.

Before we moved and I worked, I had ds take the bus and it was awful getting home (I drove him in the morning).  He would get out at 3:15 as well, but his bus didn't get there until after 3:45 most days.  Then he wouldn't get home until 4:30 and on really snowy days sometimes 4:45! He was the very last one dropped off.

When he started complaining of headaches because of sitting on the bus, running, and inhaling those fumes, I adjusted my schedule and picked him up.  He was so much happier and then so was I smile.gif

I would love for them to walk.  It would be great for all of us, but for some strange reason you're "not allowed" to walk!!! They provide bus service for the kids that even live right down the street from the school - its the dumbest thing you've ever seen!! LOL

Strange!! Here you are expecte to wak and can only ride a bus if you live over 2 miles from the school, which is way too far especially for little ones in the winter.
