Are you surprised at some the "sports" at the Olympic?

It seems like they are turning everything into an Olympic sport. I just watched some chick win Gold for jumping on a trampoline.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that saw that!!  Some of these "sports" just blow my mind!! LOL

What really frustrates me about that is that Surfing and Skateboarding are not included in the Olympics, and at least Skateboarding would be, very very easy to do, they would just need to bring in a vert ramp and street course or use a skate park in the area. (I admit Surfing would be more difficult because of needing a usable ocean and good conditions)

I am surprised by horseback riding and table tennis. I am surprised that baseball is no longer an olympic event. I was also surprised that croquet and tug of war used to be!

I dunno, I think trampolining is neat....  not a sport per say, but takes some talent.

I too think horse riding, the jumps and stuff take real talent, so I am not surprised by that!

I don't think all their jumps and flips and twists are any different than the floor exercises and vaults in gymnastics. Actually, the trampoline is a subcat of gymnastics on my olympic events web.

trampoline is a gymnastics event. Not sure why it's separate.

I will never understand why curling is a sport (winter Olympics).
