Washing couch cushion covers in the washing machine...

am I setting myself up for a world of pain? LOL

Apparantly it would make too much sense to put a care label somewhere on the sofa because I can't find one. I figure avoiding the dryer is a given, but have any of you washed these before?

Something bled or vomited all over my couch cushion, it was too much to do my usual dab and clean, I tossed it in the washing machine on delicate. It turned out fine.

Is there a fabric content label anywhere? Acrylic will shred in water so I wouldn't attempt that. Rayon pills. Cotton will wrinkle horribly. I'd probably iron cotton dry. Everything else should be fine.

I haven't ever washed my cushion covers because on the one couch where I could (supposedly), the covers were sort of welded to the cushion. There was a stablizer layer that stuck fast. When I couldn't get the covers off, I gave up and did spot cleaning.
