American Girl- 'The Care and Keeping of You' book

We've had a lot of discussion on the board previously and most recently in THIS thread, about the American Girl- The Care and Keeping of You book so I thought I'd post a link to it in case any of you wanted to check it out for your daughter/granddaughter/niece.

It really is a great book for young girls.

Isn't it great? I got it for DD when she was around 9 or 10. She is 12 now and still goes back to read it. It was also a great tool (and still is, honestly) for opening up conversations.

thanks for the link.  I read the thread on it the other day and was going to look into it for dd (she's 10).  I think it would be a great addition to our talks.

My dd's are teens now, but I had that book for them, too.  They both read it.  Neither wanted to talk about it, but I kept it around for reference if they needed it.

Both of my daughters have this book.  They've had it since they were about 9.  They still look at it from time to time.  It is a very good book for girls.

I had gotten this for one of my stepdaughters a long time ago. She really loved it, she is now 15 but there are things she learned there that she still sticks to!

I hope this or something like it is around when my niece is of age. She is 3 years old LOL! :)
