Crate table

This is selling for $340.00 on Etsy.

I'm thinking I could make this pretty easily with the crates, nails and stain.

I really like the look of this and the storage underneath.

That would be awesome, I bet you could do it too.  Let us know how it turns out if you make it.

I love it! Yes, it should be a good project to take on. I say go for it!! Love anything that is unique and offers storage at the same time!!

Definitely show us the final product!

Is the middle open? Or there's a table or something in it? I guess you could do it either way.

I really like that, so much so I just showed it to dh, my coffee table has seen better days and is not really my style anymore as our living room has evolved. My only concern would be the size, it could be really large. I guess you can find smaller sized crates, but then I wonder if the height would be sufficient.

That's really cute!  I wonder where you would buy wooden crates like that.  If you find out, let us know!

Bust down a pallet and make it from that, and pallets are always free.

I've seen smaller crates for sale at craft stores. To me, smaller crates would be better. I could put them on a sheet of cut plywood then put wheels on it. That would make the whole thing portable and cleaning would be easier. Imagine if a drink spilled - I'd want to be able to clean quickly without dismantling the whole thing.

My DD's idea for a coffee table would be to have a table with a glass inset surrounded by a rim of cork. She says the cork would be a perfect coaster for drinks without getting the glass dirty. She is so smart.

I've seen smaller crafts at Michael's before so I was thinking I could get them there.

They have a vase sitting in the middle which is either really tall or on something.  I was thinking I need a little something down in the middle for that.

And them putting some kind of feet on it.

You could get a piece of glass cut to top the entire thing - then you would not have a hole in the middle.
