across from him at both booth and table

Across. He says he likes to look at my eyes.

Across so we can see each other. I have trouble turning my neck.

Across from him in a table or booth.

Always across. I think it's easier to talk to someone when you're facing each other.

I always sit across from him. How in the world are you supposed to have a conversation with someone when you have to keep craning your neck around to look at them?

We've done both, but mostly we sit across from each other. I don't see how it's difficult to have a conversation sitting next to each other. it's not like we have to be looking right at each other in order to talk.

As I said, my dh is hearing impaired and sitting next to him, I am very close to his ear, we just turn our heads slightly since he also does a lot of lip reading.

Funny, we do the opposite, since in a booth you can really sit close to each other.

We always sit beside each other.  I am always cold so I am normally snuggled up to him to keep warm.
