No not really we just knew there were thing we wouldn't be doing as much that would offset the cost.

Yes, I did and I knew that we would not be able to afford another child. DH had 2 children when we married and I firmly believed "first in time, first in line". I did not want to take away anything from his two existing children in order to bring another into this world.

Every once in a while, I have a twinge of regret, but 99% of the time, I do not regret this decision made 30+ years ago.

Wow! I am completely speechless and overwhelmed by the generosity that you showed your husband's children. That is amazing. I hope they realize how lucky they were. smile.gif

Thanks you, melsb! I think my daughter appreciates it, although she still insists she would have rather had a little brother/sister. Our son, probably not. He's a little oblivious. lol They were both super kids and are now mature, independent adults.

Only kid #3 was planned for and we didn't plan out the finances first.  I wish I was that organized!
