What is your favorite appetizers to order when you eat out - Page 2

I rarely order apps if I am going to order a full meal.  If we are out with a group and doing just apps I love, Mozzarella sticks, potato skins, nachos, bruchetta (sp?), spinach artichoke dip, margarita flat-bread pizza.

 I've done the same thing. I can rarely finish an entree anyway, so I always order something that will be good reheated. If I'm going to eat at a restaurant I'm not skimping, I am going to get what I want. If I don't have the money to just order or am too focused on a diet to just order then I would rather not even go at all. So apps and drinks it is.   I've also gone in, seen something on the dessert menu that was just calling my name, and skipped straight to that.

We hardly ever get appetizers, and most of the deep fried stuff doesn't appeal to me. However, I usually order the sweet corn tamale cakes at Cheesecake Factory, instead of an entree.

I love it if they offer fried veggies with dip.  Green beans are my fave. 
 

Mmm, I love a good fried vegetable basket and I think really good, not too greasy, ones are hard to find.

We like to go to happy hours and just have cocktails and appetizers, tapas and small pizzas. We prefer sharing small plates over ordering entrees. Some of our favorites are flautas, ceviche (both shrimp and fish), cajun shrimp, sauteed mushrooms, tasty chicken wings, simple pizzas like pizza margherita or feta and roasted veggies, fried new potatoes with aioli, not too greasy calamari (tentacles, not rings), seaweed salad, plantains with black beans, chorizo stuffed dates. So good.

If we go to Applebee's and we do the 2/$20 deal, we usually get the potato twisters as our first choice, if we don't get those, it's the boneless wings or mozza sticks. 

I also love deep fried pickles but it's not too often that we go somewhere that they have those.

Our faves are either deep fried mushrooms or stuffed mushrooms.  One local place has a great appetizer platter we will get & share for dinner when we're in the mood for deep fried junk food!  And we still take leftovers home, it has an entire small pizza, potato skins, mozz sticks, buffalo wings, celery & carrot sticks, and a couple other things, it's a lot of food! 

Usually Cheese Sticks or Hot wings.
