Does your toddler like to get messy?

Does your toddler like to do messy things like play in the mud, fingerpaint, play with their food etc?

I was thinking about signing baby boy up for a messy art class, then I remembered last time we fingerpainted he dipped one finger carefully in, wiped it off after each stroke, and kept asking for a paint brush.  He doesn't like his hands to get messy.  On the other hand, maybe it will be good for him! The class also does playdough, bubbles, flubber etc.

They are both neat.  I think they would enjoy that class but not get as messy as some of the other kids.

They themselves are neat children. They clean up after themselves, have neat rooms, etc. But if an activity is messy or they are playing they jump in 100%. If they are playing outside it means they are covered in dirt, if they're playing with legos it means it looks like a lego shrapnel bomb exploded in the living room, if they fingerpainted it was up their arms and on their face. DS rubs his ear when he's thinking, I shudder to think how much mud and dirt has been scraped out of there lol

No, E has OT to work on her sensory issues.  L is just a little "princess."

Mine are messy and dirty!

I do remember a time when mini dd would refuse to have any sort of dirt or muck on her hands.  She still doesn't like it, but it isn't a crisis and will continue to play.

baby dd loves sensory things, and I think it is so good for them!

Ds loves getting messy. Even when eating, he loves rubbing noodles in his hair or mushing the last of his food between his fingers. If he can get dirty in only 1% of the yard you bet he will find it and ignore the other 99%.

my kids jump all in when doing something messy like playdoh, painting, sandbox (which by this time in the summer is now dirt instead of sand), playing outside. However, when it comes to eating they are really quick to ask for a baby wipe to clean faces and hands.

My kids have no issue with getting messy, you should see DD#2 after she finishes lunch, LOL
