Hello! My name is Cindi and I really like the ideas floating around this board.
I am the mom of 5;
DD1 is 28 and a high school chemistry teacher in NYC, DD2 is 26, is married and an administrative assistant at a local university, DD3 is 9 and in 4th grade, and the twin DS are almost 6 and just started kindergarten.
I am also mom to 15 chickens and have a fairly large garden that I'm trying to tame to produce, well, produce.
DH is considering retiring from his day job (working the mainframe computer at the University of South Carolina) and returning to his somewhat lucrative occupation/hobby as a science fiction writer. I work part-time, which is both good and bad-- I have more time to work in the garden and with the kids after school, but I really need the financial security more hours would provide. I'm still working on my boss, though, and may be able to pick up more hours soon.
Anyway, I'm going to stroll around and look at the threads and see what I can learn, and what I might contribute.
