She is definitely from a small town

She is divorced. So much easier to be frugal without a man in the picture.

Each member can advance the story by writing 2-3 sentences before sending it off to the next member to pick up where you leave off.  There are no right or wrong plot lines!  If you can't think of anything to advance the plot, write about our heroine's emotions, or describe her surroundings.  You can also add details about her life.  Or, ask the next member to fill in the blank with what you can't think of, or post a poll about what should happen next.  I'll start...

Jennifer was in a bad mood.  She had just received a call from the school principal that her son, Henry, had hit another child on the playground.

The last thing she needed was to miss more work to meet with the principal. At some point her coworkers were going to start really complaining about having to cover for her and pick up her slack.
