Kids' Craft: Mail-a-Hug

If you have a loved one who lives far away, here's a simple way to involve your kids in showing that you're thinking of them.  My kids each made a Mail-a-Hug craft to send to their aunt overseas as a thank you.

We happened to be doing alphabet stamping the day we did this, so that's how our mail-a-hugs are decorated.  You could use whatever art supplies you like.  I traced each kids' hands on a paper, then we cut them out.  They each got to pick which color yarn and how big they wanted their hugs to be (how long to cut the yarn).  Then we taped one end of the yarn to each hand.  That's it! An easy kids craft that makes a thoughtful "card".

I got the general idea for this from Tons of Fun.

What a cute idea!!! I saw something similar where they used butcher paper and traced out the kid's arms, but I never have a roll of paper just handy like that- this one is much more do-able!!!
