I include laundry on my list...I always have plenty of it to do, but like to try and do it on certain days so I'm not doing it everyday or spending an entire day doing it.

I also include cleaning the car (Wednesday) and washing the dogs bedding (Sat.)

There are some things I also do twice a week- vacuuming and bathrooms (wipe down every night).

Trust me, my house isn't that tidy. I am just looking at a system.

Car cleaning, good idea. I'll add that to Friday or Saturdaybwhen the boys are home.

I used to have certain chores assigned to certain days to keep me on top of things and have fallen away from that schedule. Lately it's just been when I can get it done, which leads to days where I have too much to do. I avoid doing chores beside sweeping, dishes and laundry as needed on the weekend to give myself a break.

I have been thinking about getting back to one as I feel overwhelmed some days, I need to spread out some of the quick, easy stuff to my busier kid days, on Mon and Wed dd does not have a morning class so I have time for bigger chores. We pick up all of the toys/books every day and I keep papers, mail, etc from piling up. The dishwasher is run and unloaded every other day and the bathroom and kitchen are wiped down almost daily. I choose to do a load of laundry a day instead of all at once. Dh takes care of garbage and recycling.

Monday:

laundry

change sheets

bleach clean bathroom and kitchen

sweep all rooms

Tuesday:

laundry

dust

vacuum all rooms

Wednesday:

laundry

mop kitchen, bathroom, high traffic areas

vacuum all rooms

Thursday:

laundry

wipe down windows and mirrors

sweep all rooms

Friday:

laundry

declutter/clean up my room

vacuum all rooms

I menu plan and make a grocery list on Saturday morning.

Laundry I have to do everyday. Dishes, we run twice a day usually. And of course general cleaning is a daily thing as well. This list includes things I do as well as everyone else.

Boys in your house must have good aim because I would have to clean the toilets more often that that. ROTF.gif

List looks good to me.

You know what, Deemom, you are exactly right. I will add in an extra day on Friday. Thanks for the feedback. I do usually have them wipe down but I doubt they ever do the toilet ... Thanks.
