Movie Night Gift Basket Ideas

The Movie Night gift basket is great for couples.  If you were putting together a movie night gift basket, what unique items would you include?  It seems like they always include a bag of microwave popcorn. What are some unexpected, original ideas?

big boxes of candy like milk duds, chocolate covered raisins.

cans of their favorite coke

a dvd that you know they will like

and maybe a cd by a group that you know they like (now that would be unexpected)

I would put it in a popcorn bowl or include one of those packs of movie theater popcorn boxes to give it in.

To play off of Ruthie's CD idea...if it is a movie with a great soundtrack (ie, The Big Chill (off the top of my head and one of my favorite movie soundtracks!) include that- the movie and the soundtrack!

A couple other things:

  • A Snuggie
  • Cozy slipper socks
  • Gourmet popcorn seasoning

I usually start with a big popcorn bowl. I add several flavors of popcorn (maybe one or 2 of each instead of whole boxes. I make several of these when I do them), different popcorn seasoning, 2 liter of their favorite pop, theater box candies and generally a gift card for the local movie rental place.

Ohhhhh....off topic, but that's one of my all time favorite sound tracks too!! We have that and I still love it all these years later.

You could go with Magic Mike dvd, candles and massage oil if it's for a couple. ROTF.gif

Too funny!

I like the idea of doing a theme around a certain movie. For KIDS you could do Lady & The Tramp witih a box of spaghetti and sauce, Wizard of Oz with rainbow candy, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with Everlasting Gobstoppers, etc. I'm sure if I thought longer I'd come up with more. Any other suggestions for "theme" movie gift baskets?

If they have the new 3D TVs, 3D glasses and a 3D movie, mini cans of soda, or for a chilly night hot chocolate packets plus mini marshmallows stuffed in mugs.

LOL! on the Magic Mike idea. DH wouldn't sit through that though! :(

Frosty the Snowman - with a build-a-snowman kit

A Christmas Story - bar of soap, ovaltine, leg lamp ornament
